Too hot to be cool this winter—according to chief economist of the National Association of REALTORS, Lawrence Yun, we can expect the national housing market to be “one of the best winter sales years ever.”
As always, Kosciusko County serves as a mini microcosm of the country at large, and while demand continues unabated, inventory is exceptionally low. With many needing more space as a result of working from home, and more buyers in the market due to record-low mortgage rates, an extended buying season is expected to stretch well into 2021.
Compared to last year, sales are up in the local market, yet inventory is even lower than 2019. This makes it an ideal time to sell your home, no matter the winter weather. At the same time, it gives buyers a little more negotiating power as there is slightly less competition in the winter months compared to spring and summer, and often sellers are more motivated to sell during this "off" season.
Do you want to know what the market is looking like for your house? Or what is available with your ideal requirements? Don't hesitate to reach out, we look forward to assisting you with all your real estate needs!
In the past 30 days, Kosciusko County has had: Sold 83 Avg DOM Sold 32 Pending/Contingent 131 Active 108 Avg DOM Active 75 New 83
