The September 2023 market update reveals notable shifts in the local real estate landscape compared to the previous year. New listings for the year saw a 14.1% decrease, with a similar decline of 4.9% in the first nine months of 2023. Closed sales exhibited a 15.2% drop in 2023, with a 10.3% decrease year-to-date. However, the median sales price surged by an impressive 26.6% in 2023, and the first nine months of the year saw a 15.1% increase. The percentage of the original list price received declined in 2023, with a 4.7% drop, and the year-to-date average showed a 2.9% decrease. The months supply of inventory rose by 16.7%, while the inventory of homes for sale decreased by 2.2%. These metrics collectively illustrate the dynamic changes and trends in the local real estate market for September 2023.

The Village, Winona Gather the family and head on down for an evening of pure holiday magic at The Village Tree Lighting Ceremony! From 3:30 to 6:30 pm, there'll be a sleigh full of fun, including a Toys for Tots Collection, Kid’s Ornament Making at the Brick Alley Pavilion, Train Rides for all ages in the Letterwood brick paver parking lot, festive Christmas Carolers strolling through The Village, free cookies and hot chocolate, and of course, Santa Claus! The NWES Kids' Choir will dazzle you with their tunes, and guess who's making a special appearance? Santa at the Firehouse! Don't miss the live reindeer and chili at Tangibles, free hotdogs at Jill and Jennifer's, a dazzling ATV lighted parade, scrumptious hot chocolate from The River, and a fun reindeer food-making activity for the kids by the NWCC.
