As a leading annual real estate training conference for agents, it has been filled with invaluable insights as we had a deep dive into the mechanics of the economy and the housing market today. Not to mention, we had so much fun developing new connections. Nothing beats the feeling of being alongside game changers in the industry.
Here's one discussion that highly impacted me: The market is swinging in the favor of agents who are skills-based. We’ve been hearing about the market shifting, which is much different than past cycles which are easier to read. This is why, now, more than ever, it all boils down to the knowledge and expertise of agents whom you will choose to partner with. Top real estate agents tackle tough times by staying on top of the statistics, and by being creative and versatile in implementing (even revising) out-of-the-box strategies as they push forward.
In the past 12 months, 154 lakefront homes in Kosciusko County have been sold—showing a decline of -27.7% compared to 213 sold homes last year. Sold channel homes also dipped slightly by -2.5%, from 121 sold units in the previous year to 118 this year.
We use these figures as guide but never let our performance dwindle because of it. In fact, it fuels us to work even harder. The RGroup team is actually very busy at the moment with buyers still waiting in line, and sellers still eager to sell their homes.

Kosciusko County Market Stats The months supply of inventory, and inventory of homes for sale showed significant increases of 12.5% and 6.5%, respectively compared to July of last year—signaling a great time for buyers to pick out from more options. Sellers can still maximize price gains with 0.8% increase on the original list price received. However, new listings and closed sales are down by -23.5% and -33.7%, respectively.
